AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) is a national-level law entrance examination conducted by the National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) for admission to its prestigious BA LLB (Hons.), LLM, and PhD programs. Unlike other National Law Universities that participate in CLAT, NLU Delhi conducts AILET independently and accepts admissions solely through AILET scores.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Candidates appearing in Class 12 in 2026 are also eligible.
  • General/OBC/EWS/PwD candidates must secure at least 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
  • SC/ST candidates must secure at least 40% aggregate marks.
  • No upper age limit for appearing in AILET.

1. What is AILET used for?

AILET is conducted for admission to BA LLB (Hons.), LLM, and PhD programs offered by National Law University, Delhi. 

2. Is AILET different from CLAT?

Yes. NLU Delhi does not participate in CLAT and conducts AILET separately for admissions to its law programs. 

3. Is there negative marking in AILET?

5. Is Mathematics included in AILET syllabus?
