About JEE Advanced 

JEE Advanced is India's most prestigious engineering entrance examination and the only gateway for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The examination is conducted annually by one of the IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). Only the top-performing candidates in JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill all the following requirements:

  • Must qualify among the top candidates in JEE Main 2026 as specified by JAB.
  • Must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) examination in 2025 or 2026 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • Candidates can attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
  • Candidates who have already accepted admission at any IIT are generally not eligible under standard rules.
